Bristol Ann Nemrow -- January 12th 2009

Katie and Travis Had their First Baby -- A Little Girl !!! Bristol Ann Nemrow Came out 7 lbs at around 19 inches long. She is so adorable, just like a little doll. She is a good baby who sleeps really good through the day and night. There are fussy moments but not too many. She never crys unless she is hungry. We love her!!

Here are some pictures of her at the hospital with Mommy and Daddy and some on the day she came home with them.

What is a Mother?

A Mother has so many things to do,
from washing,
ironing,
cleaning to tying a shoe.
She scrubs,
she mends,
she cooks and sews,
she bathes the children and washes their clothes.
When they forget to wash their faces clean,
and their clothes are the muddiest you've ever seen,
who repairs the clothes and scrubs them like new?
Of course, that is what a Mother will do.
Who becomes the doctor or the nurse when they are ill,
applying a bandage or giving them a pill?
Who becomes a teacher when a child has homework?
She must never her duty shirk.
Who becomes a detective to find a toy or a book?
For missing things she must look and look?
Who becomes a listner to every heartache,
to every accompolishment that a child makes?
Who scolds their children when they are naughty,
or remind them of God when they are to haughty?
Who tends her family with love and patience, too?
Of course that is what a Mother will do.

first time to blog

I am not quite sure how to do blogging, thought I would try. Katie is experiencing pregnancy for the first time. She is feeling her baby move. I remember being pregnant and loving it so much. I am so happy that Katie & Travis are enjoying their baby moving. I know that they will be good parents. I am looking forward to meeting this new little grandchild. Can't wait to hear that the baby is a boy or girl. I am so glad that Katie and Travis have been approved for insurance to help with the delivery of the baby. I bet that takes a load of stress off. Well let me try to see if this blog work.

Baby News...

This last week Travis and I felt the baby poke out. It was such a wonderful and yet weird feeling I have ever felt before. Travis says "What a reality check!"
The baby is quite a bouncer... I am feeling it all over the place. Yesturday we were at my brother-in-laws house for cookies and ice cream and Travis dad kept patting my belling like it was a basketball or something. (Kinda weird, but funny) I am now 19 weeks pregnant, almost halfway through... with 21 Weeks, 3 Days to go! Thats by calculating my due date on January 8, 2009.
Here is what the baby calendar is saying about my growing baby: Your baby is between five and six inches long and weighs about seven ounces—about the size of an apple. If the baby is a girl, early ovaries contain follicles with forming eggs. Soon, half of the genetic material for your potential future grandchildren will be formed. Pictures of babies at this age show them touching the membrane of the amniotic sac, touching their own faces, reaching for the umbilical cord, pedaling their legs, and sucking their thumbs. If you're carrying twins, they may already be swatting at each other. Your baby may already have a preference for the left or right hand. In the brain, areas of the nerve cells that serve the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing are becoming specialized and are forming more complex connections. Loud sounds as well as any feelings you may have of stress or alarm may be communicated to the baby. The baby responds to these stresses by becoming more active. Practicing yoga and meditation can be good for your sense of calm and balance.

I hope you enjoyed the update... Love ya!
